Efforts to create a design language suited to the needs and tastes of the modern world took shape in the first decades of the new century, and clearly took shape in 1925. The Art Deco period saw many forms of decorative influence, including updated historical styles, the introduction of exotic elements, and the adoption of avant-garde currents such as the geometric abstractions of Cubism.
